Adults play a vital role in Girl Scouting.  They make things happen for, with and on behalf of girl.  It does not matter how you are involved in Girl Scouting, you will make a difference in girls lives.

Visit our sections for Alumnae, Leaders, Delegates, Parents and becoming a Girl Scout Volunteer to learn more.

Your participation can be tailored not only to meet your interest but your schedule as well.  Leadership of a troop, delivering program events and activities, helping girls learn how to sell cookies, nuts, and magazines to the public are all roles you see Girl Scout volunteers fulfill on a daily basis.

What you do not see taking place in the background are volunteers who bring leaders together to learn about new activities, trainers who present courses on program planning, CPR, outdoor skill building, safety and security, money management.  And when the public comes to the Girl Scout office, many are surprised to see that there are professional Girl Scout employees who serve in jobs like accounting, public relations, program and volunteer development and shop sales and management, just to name a few disciplines.

Research shows that the influence one caring adult has on a child will last a lifetime. The path you choose to become involved, be it as a leader/advisor, parent or guardian, volunteer or mentor, will give you the chance to touch the lives of children and provide the support and resources they will need to become caring, confident and competent adults.
