Registration
To register for training courses via mail use the Training Registration Form and send to the training registrar at the Regional office where the training is being offered. No registrations will be taken over the phone. The completed form, along with full payment (if required) must be received at the Council’s Regional office in order to schedule you for the course. Late registrations will be taken after the deadline, only if space is available.
Online Registration
There is an Online Registration for Events and Trainings E Council which you can access by clicking here to register for training courses. Just follow the simple steps and register. Once your registration has been submitted, you will see a pop-up window that tells you, "Your registration has been successfully completed." This means only that your registration has been submitted; it does not mean you are automatically in the event/training. After the placement date, you will receive confirmation from the council indicating whether or not you have been selected to attend.
Instructions Regarding Training
- All new leaders must plan to receive Community Orientation training prior to registering for Basic New Leader Training. This orientation is given by a member of your Community Leadership Team or the Membership staff person in your area. Contact the Regional office for information.

Trainers may be unable to provide materials for non-registered participants. Please phone the training registrar with questions about confirmations.
- If you are unable to attend, please call the Regional office to cancel as soon as possible. By canceling in advance, you allow others to register for the training. You may leave a message 24 hours a day.
- Credit to another workshop is given if a participant cancels two weeks prior to registration deadline. Please call the Council office to cancel.
- If there is a fee for a course, payment must accompany the registration form. Make checks payable to GSHH attention: Training Registrar. If you submit your registration online, you will be contacted for payment information upon acceptance into the course. PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH.

Self Study is based on the curriculum of class training and will take you approximately the same amount of time. Quiz must be completed and returned to the regional office for course credit and approval to begin meeting with your troop or group. Contact the Training department in your area for details.
